Lexington SCORE is the only resource for free, dependable, nonprofit support in the State of Kentucky with a nonprofit practitioner with over 25 years of experience in the nonprofit realm.
The Thomson R. Bryant, Jr. and Betty R. Bryant Fund at Blue Grass Community Foundation is accepting applications from tax-exempt, nonprofit organizations that provide health and human services directly impacting residents of Fayette County. Funding priorities include basic human needs, housing, homelessness, health and safety, and child protective services. Successful proposals will address community needs through programs and activities that demonstrate sustainable impact and measurable outcomes. Proposals for program or organizational development support will be accepted. Maximum grant award is $10,000.
Usually, the success stories we share are about the relationships between company owners and their SCORE mentors. But sometimes, a company’s employee works with SCORE and plays a huge part in the business’s success.
As you put plans in place to launch your nonprofit, keep these three essential business components in mind.
For non-profits, “marketing” is almost a dreaded word. Gaining funding is necessary for doing good… but every dollar and hour spent on fundraising robs resources from the service work of the organization.
